The El Tovar Hotel, also known simply as El Tovar is a luxury lodge perched near the edge of the Grand Canyon. It is a former Harvey House hotel situated directly on the south rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA.

The hotel was designed by Charles Whittlesey, Chief Architect for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway and was opened in 1905 as one of a chain of hotels and restaurants owned and operated by the Fred Harvey Company in conjunction with the Santa Fe railway.

In 2013 the historic 78-room hotel, which has hosted U.S. presidents including Theodore Roosevelt and Bill Clinton the was renovated. It included sprucing up guest rooms with new carpet, bedding and curtains; larger armoires; and bigger flat-screen TVs.

The lobby got new carpeting and furniture, and the dining room got new carpet. The number of rooms outfitted for disabled travelers will go from three to five. The entire exterior was painted and other maintenance issue were addressed.
